Connecting with the Important People In Your Life

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned my one big regret in life was not connecting one last time with my grandmother before she passed away. I was reminded of that when my girlfriend Amanda's grandmother passed away.

Just 2 1/2 weeks later, I find myself dropping Amanda off at the airport yet again so she can fly home for another funeral. This time it was her aunt who passed away of cancer at the young age of 51.

Life, as well all know, is too short. I think that many of us, including myself get caught up in our daily routines and fail to keep in touch with our good friends and family members as much as we could or should.

Let this service as a reminder to reach out to the ones we care about and let them know that we're thinking of them. Think about how nice it is when someone you haven't spoken to in a while calls you. It's pretty awesome isn't it?

Sometimes the smallest things such as a phone call can make a person's day.

If you could make one person's day that much brighter every day, wouldn't that be awesome?
