Are You Growing or Dying?
It’s been damn hot the past few days here in Vancouver. It took forever, but summer is definitely here in a big way.
As I was watering my plants on my patio, I was listening to a recording about improving your copywriting skills (for those of you that don’t know what copywriting is, it is selling with the written word). The whole situation made me think about a quote from Tony Robbins (I mistakenly said that it was Jim Rohn in the video).
He said: ”If you’re not growing, then you’re dying.”
It’s a good idea to read a book or listen to audios for at least 30 minutes a day (60 minutes would be better.) Just like plants need to drink water every day in order to survive, our minds needs the mental stimulation. By “watering your brain” with good informative and positive messages, you’re more likely to continue to keep motivated and reach your goals.
Don’t think you can find the time to squeeze in 30-60 minutes are brain time?
Audios are great for a person on the go. I listen to them when I’m out walking Maya or driving in my car. Find time to read a book when riding the bus or waiting for a friend for coffee. 3 minutes here, 5 minutes there all add up over the day if that’s all you can squeeze in although it is more beneficial to rock it out all in one sitting if possible so your brain can get focused in order to let it sink in.
Make sure to water your brain daily for maximum growth!
